Cardinal River Energy Company
Cardinal River Energy Company was founded in 1987 to participate as a non-operator in prospects and wells in the Mid-Continent region. As the company continued to grow, it began generating its own prospects and increased its participation interests in new prospects and wells.
In late 2006, the company formed a strategic partnership with several privately held Oklahoma City based energy companies. At such time, Cardinal River Energy Company became the largest owner in the partnership. Today, the partnership, Cardinal River Energy I LP, owns operated and non-operated interests in over 1,000 wells and properties located in several states across the U.S. Cardinal River Energy Company’s primary business continues to be to participate in oil and gas wells through the partnership, as well as direct participation in outside investments.

Cardinal River Energy I LP
In late 2006, Cardinal River Energy Company formed a strategic partnership with several privately held Oklahoma City based energy companies. At such time, each of the partners consolidated their oil and gas assets into a limited partnership – Cardinal River Energy I LP.
The partnership initially owned over 500 producing oil and gas wells in several states. Using the company’s low finding cost strategies and active risk management and hedging practices, the partnership’s proven gas reserves have more than doubled while its proven oil reserves have grown by more than 400%.
The partnership now owns an interest in wells located in several states across the U.S. The partnership’s assets include a balanced portfolio of oil and gas properties, and a mix of PDP and PUD wells.
The partnership is currently focusing its efforts on strategic acquistions and developing its PUD locations in order to maximize the partnership’s enterprise value.
